Tascam TH-02 Studio Headphone Review [An Excellent Studio Headset!]

Here is the Tascam TH-02 Studio Headphone Review that might help you.

Having a pair of headphones with superb sound without spending a lot of money may seem like a pipe dream. However, it is not impossible.

The Tascam TH-02 are decent-sounding critical listening headphones, but they fall short in every other category. The build quality is a touch cheap and plasticky, and the over-ear fit isn't the comfiest.

The narrow ear cups also do not adequately seal the ears, making them unsuitable for use while commuting in noisy surroundings. On the plus side, they feature good sound quality, which may be worth the low price for some listeners.

We spent a lot of hours and days reviewing these studio headphones. Make sure to read the whole article to find more about these best studio headphones on the market!

Tascam TH-02 Studio Headphone Comprehensive Review

BUILD QUALITY

The Tascam TH02's build quality is good at best. The all-plastic design appears and feels cheap, and it is not particularly robust. The hinges, in particular, feel as if they could snap under moderate physical stress.

Because the cable is not removable and hence cannot be replaced, it wears out with regular use. The cable, on the other hand, is fairly thick, so the headphones are more likely to break than the cable. Furthermore, the ear cups are dense enough that a handful of inadvertent drops will not destroy them.

COMFORT

Tascam TH02 headphones are a comfy set. The earpads are quite soft and made of lovely imitation leather. This gives extra comfort when gamers wear it for long periods of time. The earcups are quite small and do not fit larger ears. They can't even completely cover the ears.

If your ears are large, the little ear cups may cause them to become heated after several hours. When my friend was wearing these headphones, he complained that the earpads hurt him ( his ear is bigger than average).

The headband has foam padding covered in cheap faux leather, which is not the same as earpads. For those with large heads, the headband does not fit perfectly. Tascam TH 02 closed-back headphones have a medium-light clamping force, which I prefer.

You can't listen to it when lying in bed because it's a big corded headset. It is, nevertheless, comfortable enough to wear with glasses.

SOUND QUALITY

We've discovered that with other kinds of headphones, the music is only crisp and clear for certain genres. Fortunately, regardless of the genre of music, these headphones allow you to clearly hear every rhythm. However, the overall sound quality isn't particularly impressive.

There is clearly a lot of sensitivity with a wide frequency response ranging from 18 Hz to 22 kHz.

The brand did not cut corners and included 50 mm drivers, which is uncommon in headphones priced as low as these. Of course, this does not imply that their performance is comparable to that of high-end headphones, but they do provide stiff competition.

Because the Tascam TH 02 headphone lacks active noise cancellation (ANC), they do not suppress ambient noise.

This implies that not only can you hear outside noises when wearing headphones, but also that your music tends to ‘leak' out. When you're in a peaceful neighborhood, don't blast your music at full volume.

FREQUENCY RESPONSE

Tascam TH-02 has a frequency response of 18Hz-22kHz. What a softer frequency response! This smooth frequency response outperforms many low-cost over-ear headphones.

It's important to remember that the flatter the frequency response, the cleaner the audio.

MICROPHONE

If you're looking for headphones with a microphone, the Tascam TH-02 isn't for you. This TH 02 does not include a microphone. The MARDI M USB Headset is a wired headphone with an exceptional in-line microphone.

Another key factor to consider when purchasing a headset is the build quality. However, there are situations when you must make a sacrifice for other, superior characteristics.

STABILITY

The Tascam TH02 headphones aren't the most stable. If you use them while working out or jogging, they will easily slip off your head. They also come in a wired version with a non-detachable cable that will yank them off your head if they get caught on something.

The headphones fit snugly enough on the head for more relaxed activities and critical listening, but they are not stable enough for sports.

BASS ACCURACY

The bass on the Tascam TH-02 is excellent. LFE (low-frequency extension) is set to 22Hz, which is excellent. Also, low bass, which is responsible for the thud and rumble typical of bass-heavy music, is within 1.2dB of our aim.

Mid-bass, which is important for bass guitar body and kick drum punch, is within 0.7dB of our neutral aim. However, the high bass, which is responsible for warmth, is overemphasized by over 4dB. As a result, the overall bass is a little boomy and muddy.

Furthermore, its bass delivery varies substantially amongst users and is sensitive to fit, seal, and whether you wear glasses. The response shown here is representative of the typical bass response, and your results may vary.

TASCAM recognizes that a clean modern appearance and comfort are just as vital as the sound of one's headphones. With soft cushioned ear cuffs and a padded headband, the TH-02 may be worn for hours of comfort.

Both the left and right ear-cuffs rotate fully 90 degrees, making the TH-02 comfortable to wear when listening to music, tracking for hours, or performing all night. Not to mention that you'll look great in them.

The TH-02's folding design allows them to fit wherever they need to go in a compact manner. TASCAM's TH-02 headphones can be used as everyday accessories as well as in your recording or performing process.
