So here it is…
Our first line-up announcement for Electric Fields 2017 – and what announcement it is!
We couldn’t be more excited to announce the inimitable Frightened Rabbit as our headliners. They’re a truly special pillar of the Scottish music scene, releasing their wonderful fifth full-length album in 2016, and sounding as heartfelt and powerful as ever before.
We’re also completely humbled to be bringing two of the biggest Scottish bands, well, EVER, to this year’s event. The Jesus And Mary Chain bring their new album to life in March and we couldn’t be more pleased to celebrate such a milestone with them.
Then there’s Arab Strap, fresh from a resounding return at the end of last year, and sounding as wry, heart-wrenching, and joyous as ever before.
We’re also very excited to add another splash of spiralling Scottish talent to the line-up, with And Yet It Moves, Crash Club and Brat and the Bonemen also announced – and we’ve still got over 100 more artists to be announced!
As well as a smashing musical lineup, Electric Fields will this year be expanding its food and drink offering with a curated Food Village, and a dedicated tent hosting EF’s very own Ale and Craft Beer Festival. This year will also feature comedy, spoken word and film with Q&As from some very special guests. For the young one’s the “Our Kids Electric” area returns with a whole host of entertainment and workshops and of course, the legendary adventure playground is a hop skip and a jump away!
