Scotland’s Electric Fields festival have announced a host of new names for their 2017 event, which takes place on September 1st and 2nd at Drumlanrig Castle, in Dumfries and Galloway.
With weekend tickets starting at just £95, the festival’s fourth year looks set to be their best yet. Having already announced a trio of Scottish heavyweights, in Frightened Rabbit, who will headline the Friday night, as well as Arab Strap and The Jesus & Mary Chain, the line-up takes a huge leaps forward today with the news that the Mercury Prize winning Dizzee Rascal will headline the Saturday night.
Electric Fields have also revealed that Kate Tempest, Band Of Horses, Glass Animals, Peter Hook & The Light, Car Seat Headrest, Real Estate, British Sea Power, Anna Meredith, This Is The Kit, Aldous Harding, Marnie, Sacred Paws, and Savage Mansion will all play at this year’s event, alongside a scattering of local acts in Future Get Down, The Cut, The Vegan Leather, The Calm Fiasco, Nieves, 13 Crowes and Tiderays.
The festival’s dance stage has also been announced, headed by Glasgow’s Jackmaster, who will be spinning tunes alongside Artwork, Denis Sulta, Lord of the Isles and Space Dimension Controller.
