Take the stress out of getting to Electric Fields and travel by bus directly to the site! There are routes from all over the country, have a look at our bus travel page here.
The closest train station to Electric Fields is Sanquhar, which is just north of the site, and about 15 minutes away by taxi.
Glasgow to Sanquhar: 1 hour 20 minutes
Carlisle to Sanquhar: 1 hour
Dumfries is also near to the site and is well served from many routes from the south. Dumfries train station is about 30 minutes away by taxi.
Please note – Although Thornhill is the nearest town to the site it does not have a train station! However, buses do go there, details below…
From Sanquhar a taxi will take 15 minutes to get to the EF site.

If you’ve looked at all the options and still think you’re going to drive then that’s ok. There will be plenty of signs for the Festival and Drumlanrig Castle from all directions.
Drumlanrig Castle and the Queensberry Estate is situated just off the A76 (Dumfries to Kilmarnock), 17 miles north of Dumfries, and is signposted from the M74 (J14 southbound) and A702 at Abington and Elvanfoot. Just an hour away from Glasgow.

Parking is right beside the campsite and 5 minutes walk from the festival site. Don’t worry, there’s no long slog with all your kit!
There is a fee for parking your car for the weekend, which can be paid on the ticket page before you arrive.

HOW DO I GET BACK AND FORTH TO THE FESTIVAL?

WILL IT COST ME TO PARK AT ELECTRIC FIELDS?
To encourage people to share vehicles and reduce the impact of cars on the estate we have a small charge for parking. Each vehicle will need a parking ticket which can be purchased in advance or on entry to the site car park.

I HAVE A LIVE IN VEHICLE PASS, DO I NEED A CAR PARK PASS TOO?
No, you only need to purchase a live in vehicle pass for this unless you are bringing additional vehicles.

CAN WE PARK OUR CAR NEXT TO OUR TENT?
Unfortunately not, we need all of the room for your fellow festival goers. You will need to park your car and carry your camping gear to your pitch – don’t worry though, its not far to walk.
